Monrovia : Joint Meeting Slated
The City Council and the Monrovia Unified School District board will hold a joint meeting Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers to discuss redevelopment.
The school board, which requested the meeting, has been interested in redevelopment since its new $1.2-million headquarters was constructed on East Huntington Drive as a joint project of the school district, Monrovia Redevelopment Agency and the city. However, City Manager Jim Starbird said discussions should be limited to information about redevelopment programs, rather than exploring ways in which the redevelopment agency can financially assist the school district.
