3 Held in Prostitution Probe

A San Diego chiropractor and two local women were arrested in connection with prostitution charges Wednesday after a two-month investigation by San Diego Police Department vice officers.
James Vincent Madaffer, 68, was arrested at his chiropractic office at 237 W. Laurel St. on suspicion of pimping and three other related counts. Two women--Mary Elisa Smith, 37, of El Cajon, and Catherine Corder, 38, of Lakeside--were arrested on suspicion of prostitution, police said.
A police spokesman said Wednesday that further arrests in the case are expected.
