Lottery’s Wheel of Fortune Stops a Bit Short for Pair

A Corona woman and a Fullerton man, each with a shot at the $4-million-plus jackpot, came away with $10,000 each in the California Lottery’s Big Spin on Saturday.

“Nobody really lost today,” said Jean Willis, 48, a bus driver for the Corona-Norco school district. “I wouldn’t mind coming back again.”

Willis said she planned to put her winnings toward “fixing up the house” in Corona, where she lives with her husband and two sons.

Chris Kulina, 34, of Fullerton called his winnings “a pretty good return from a $1 investment.” Kulina estimated that he has bought between 30 and 40 lottery tickets since the games began in the fall.

Willis guessed that she has spent about $50 on the lottery.

Kulina owns a limousine service and sells office furniture, he said.
