Singer Andy Williams is scheduled to appear Feb. 26 in Redlands Municipal Court on a misdemeanor citation for allegedly driving drunk on Interstate 10, the California Highway Patrol said. CHP Officer Robert Crain in Banning said Officer Harry Luciani stopped the singer for going 65 to 70 m.p.h. in his Rolls-Royce convertible and weaving out of his lane near the 4th Street off-ramp in Redlands. Williams was returning to Los Angeles from the Bob Hope Desert Golf Classic in the Palm Springs area. Crain said Luciani asked the singer to take a field sobriety test after seeing an open can of beer in the car. Results of a subsequent chemical test will be available for the Feb. 26 arraignment, Crain said.
