Sikh Terrorists Kill 2 Gandhi Supporters
Suspected Sikh gunmen Wednesday shot and killed two Congress-I Party workers near Amritsar.
The deaths bring to three the number of workers of Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s party killed this week by Sikh gunmen fighting for an independent Sikh nation in Punjab state.
Police said three masked men opened fire at the shop of Vijay Kumar, a Hindu party worker, in the village of Sarangla, seriously injuring him. Two Sikh party workers, identified as Mohan Singh, 45, and Buta Singh, 30, were killed in the same attack. The unidentified gunmen escaped on foot.
