Motorist Dies of Heart Attack, Hits 2 Cars
A 47-year-old Tujunga man died Wednesday morning when he apparently suffered a heart attack while driving his car in Sunland and crashed into two parked cars, Los Angeles police reported.
Donald Paul Reinke, who had a history of heart ailments, was driving west on Hillrose Street near Mount Gleason Avenue about 7 a.m. when he apparently had a heart attack and swerved into a chain-link fence and the parked cars, Sgt. Mel Cunningham said.
Passers-by administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to Reinke but could not revive him, Cunningham said. Reinke was pronounced dead at Lakeview Terrace Medical Center, Cunningham said.
