Two University of Minnesota basketball players were suspended for violating team rules, but the alleged violations were reportedly not related to the earlier arrests of three other members of the Gopher team on sexual assault charges in Madison, Wis., interim Coach Jimmy Williams said.
Williams said Todd Alexander, a sophomore guard, has been suspended for the rest of the season. In addition, Terrence Woods, a junior swingman, has been suspended indefinitely pending further investigation, Williams said.
