The Kings open a two-game set against the Winnipeg Jets tonight at the Winnipeg Arena.

Defenseman Larry Playfair and right wing Sean McKenna, acquired from the Buffalo Sabres Wednesday night in a trade for defenseman Brian Engblom and center Doug Smith, are expected to play for the Kings tonight.

The Jets traded defenseman Wade Campbell to the Boston Bruins Thursday for center Bill Derlago. Derlago, 27, has played in 480 games with Vancouver, Toronto and Boston, scoring 178 goals and 211 assists for 389 points. He had 5 goals and 16 assists in 40 games this season. Derlago makes his debut with the Jets tonight.

The Kings, who have a one-point lead over Winnipeg in the Smythe Division, are 4-0 against the Jets this season. The teams meet again here Sunday night.
