A fire, apparently set to cover an $80 burglary, caused an estimated $200,000 damage to the popular Yellow Submarine restaurant on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Merlyn Poppleton said there was an unconfirmed report that some individuals were spotted leaving the one-story restaurant, which was closed for the night, shortly before the blaze broke out.
