Moses Leads Mesa to Overtime Victory

SAN DIEGO — Elroy Moses scored 20 points and Joe Griffin added 18 to lead San Diego Mesa College to a 79-74 overtime victory over San Diego City College Wednesday night in a Pacific Coast Conference game at Mesa.

San Diego City trailed, 63-53, with 5 minutes remaining before rallying to force overtime. Bruce Dean hit a 10-foot jumper, made a steal, and scored on a layin to tie the game in the final minute.

In overtime, however, City hit just 3-of-15 shots from the field and committed 5 turnovers to help the Olympians (4-4 in conference) pull into a tie for fourth place in the conference.

Kennard Moulden and Calvin Lewis scored 16 points apiece to lead San Diego City (4-4, 7-9).
