Four Football Prospects Announce Decisions

Share

Ernie Rogers of Fontana, Curtis Hein of Taft and Larry Vladic of Diamond Bar have given verbal commitments to Pacific 10 Conference schools while record-setting running back Ray Pallares of Placentia Valencia said he will attend Cal State Long Beach.

USC landed Hein, a wide receiver-defensive back who played much of last season with a thigh and bicep injury. Rogers, one of the best tight ends in Southern California and a projected offensive lineman in college, will go to Cal. Vladic, a linebacker-strong safety, said he will go to Oregon State.

However, the Trojans are still waiting for a decision from all-state defensive back Rodney Winston from Alabama, who is also considering Arkansas.
