Extra campsites will be provided at Doheny State Beach during the four weekends of the Festival of the Whales celebration, which begins Friday at adjacent Dana Point Harbor, according to Supervising Ranger Jerry Spansail.
The sites, which will accommodate self-contained camping vehicles, will be available Friday nights through Sunday nights during the festival at a cost of $8 per vehicle per night.
All park facilities except the hot showers in the permanent campground area will be open to the temporary users, Spansail said.
