Cuisinarts Recalls Juicer Attachment

Cuisinarts Inc. has announced a request that all purchasers of its Super Citrus Juicer Attachment return the attachment, which was introduced last November, in exchange for a new, improved model.

Carl G. Sontheimer, president, said: “The Cuisinart Super Citrus Juicer is both safe and efficient when used in accordance with the instructions but we want to make sure that it is safe even when not used as directed. That’s why we want everyone who purchased a Cuisinart Super Citrus Juicer Attachment in a box not marked ‘New, Improved Design’ to return it to Cuisinarts for a prompt exchange.”

Consumers who own the attachment should return it to Dept. MC, Cuisinarts Inc., Norwich Industrial Park, 5 Wisconsin Ave., Norwich, Conn. 06360. The company will reimburse parcel post insured postage or United Parcel Service shipping costs. As an apology for the inconvenience, a Cuisinart meat/yeast/microwave thermometer will be included as a free gift with the replacement juicer attachment.
