A Mexican woman was killed Friday morning when her car crashed into a tree on the side of Dehesa Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Maria Elena Juarez Mendez, 25, of Tijuana, was about a mile east of Willow Glen Drive in the East County area when, for unknown reasons, her car went off the road and struck a eucalyptus tree, CHP accident investigations Officer Rocky Rockwell said.
Juarez Mendez, who the CHP believes worked at a Japatul Valley ranch, died instantly of internal injuries, Deputy Coroner George Dickason said.
