CALIFORNIA - News from Feb. 16, 1986

Thomas W. Field Jr., 52, has been named chief executive of San Francisco-based McKesson Corp., succeeding Neil E. Harlan, chairman and chief executive, who will retire as chief executive July 23. Field is McKesson’s current president and chief operating officer. Harlan, 64, will remain the company’s chairman.
