Richard G. Snyder, a licensed general contractor for more than 12 years, has been named president of the Fullerton-based Acacia Construction Inc. He joined the firm in 1978.

Renee McGovern has been named executive director for the statewide California Building Foundation, an educational and research arm of the California Building Industry Assn. Most recently she served as director of education for the California Apartment Assn.

Marion Kiesling has been named director of marketing for Griffin Homes, Calabasas. She has served as director of permanent financing for the firm.

B. J. Peterson has become a full partner in the Los Angeles firm of Bedell & Laughlin, which has been renamed Bedell, Laughlin & Peterson Interior Design Inc. She was a member of the senior design staff of Cannell & Chaffin.

Walter Franko has been named vice president and general manager of Grupe Development Co.-Southern California, and will head the firm’s Woodland Hills office.
