Probation for Scott Skiles, Michigan State basketball star, will be extended by six months, or until Skiles serves a proposed 30-day jail term for allegedly violating probation on a misdemeanor drug conviction.
The extended probation has been included in a tentative agreement that could spare Skiles from serving a longer term in jail, Marshall County Prosecutor Fred R. Jones said in Plymouth, Ind.
