Melodyland Will Hold Ecumenical Gathering

“One Bread, One Body,” a three-day ecumenical gathering of Catholics, Jews, evangelicals and Pentecostalists, will be held Thursday through Saturday at Melodyland Christian Center in Anaheim.

Sponsored by Breath of the Spirit International Ministries, the conference will feature such speakers as the Rev. David DuPlessis, a South African-born Pentecostal preacher; Father Stephen Barham, a Greek Melkite Catholic priest, and Bishop S.M. Singh, United Nations chaplain from Guyana.

Highlights of the conference will be a film on the ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson and a videotape about the healing miracles attributed to Kathryn Kuhlman, a Charismatic author and seer who died in 1976.

Also featured will be a variety of workshops, evening rallies, youth ministry workshops and youth concerts. The conference will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. A fee of $30 includes breakfast. Free nursery care is available. For more information, call (714) 671-3881.

The Emmanuel Lutheran Church of La Habra, 150 N. Palm St., is now holding its annual series of Lenten meals for congregants and members of the community. Congregation B’nai Israel will hold a special Havdalah service for Jewish singles at 6 tonight at the synagogue at 655 South B St., Tustin.
