Nest Catches Fire, Damaging House
NORCO —
Rising fireplace embers started a house fire late Sunday when they ignited a bird’s nest inside a chimney housing.
The blaze damaged the roof and chimney housing of the two-story, wood-frame dwelling on Del Mar Road in southwestern Norco, said Jo Smith, a spokeswoman for the Norco Fire Department. Damage was estimated at $5,000. No injuries were reported.
