Local News in Brief : Man Dies After Falling Off Towed Motorcycle

A North Hollywood man was killed Sunday night when he fell from a motorcycle being towed on a trailer and was hit by six cars on the Hollywood Freeway in Sun Valley, authorities said.

Tom Cloud, 30, had climbed from inside the camper of a pickup truck to sit on the motorcycle, California Highway Patrol officer Kenn Rosenberg said.

Witnesses said Cloud fell onto his back on the freeway just south of Roscoe Boulevard and was rubbing his head when he was struck and killed about 7:10 p.m., Rosenberg said.
