U.S. Ousts N. Koreans for Berlin Arms Deals
The U.S. mission, which controls security here under Allied post-World War II agreements, announced Tuesday that it has ordered four North Korean officials out of West Berlin for illegal arms dealing.
A statement said the North Koreans were accredited as diplomats in East Germany.
“These four officials have been working out of an office in the Western sectors of the city (West Berlin), engaging in illicit arms transportations,”it said.
“The Allies will continue to take any action necessary to enforce applicable law and prevent any abuse of the status of the city,” it added.
