3 Homers Lead Arizona State Over CSUN
Mike Benjamin, Roger Smith and Steve Mariucci all hit home runs and freshman pitcher David Cassidy won his second game of the year as Arizona State beat Cal State Northridge, 9-5, in a nonconference baseball game here Tuesday.
Junior Tony Harris pitched the final four innings for the Sun Devils, striking out eight and earned his second save.
Cassidy evened his record at 2-2 for the Sun Devils (16-5), while Dan Gonzalez (0-1) took the loss for Northridge (4-4). Scott McIntyre homered with nobody on for CSUN.
