Fire Damage to Sylmar Lodge Set at $175,000
An early morning fire Friday caused an estimated $175,000 damage to the Moose Lodge in Sylmar, Los Angeles city fire officials said.
The one-story building at 12178 N. San Fernando Road was empty when the fire broke out at 12:16 a.m. It took firefighters 41 minutes to extinguish the blaze, Fire Department spokesman Jim Williamson said.
There were no injuries.
Firefighters estimated damage to the structure at $150,000 and to the building’s contents at $25,000, Williamson said.
Cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
