Two Appointed to State Posts
Gov. George Deukmejian on Tuesday appointed Wayne (Bill) Eastwood of Escondido to the Patton State Hospital Advisory Board for the Mentally Disordered, and reappointed Margaret J. Helton of Chula Vista to the California Commission on Aging.
Eastwood, 45, replaces Yvonne Smith of El Centro, whose term expired. He is the executive director of San Diego-based Mental Health Systems Inc. and a member of the North County Social Directors Council. His unapid position expires Dec. 16, 1988.
Helton, 74, has served on the California Commission on Aging since January, 1983. The retired public health and school nurse’s term will expire in January, 1989.
