4 Killed as 2 Jets Collide

Four people were killed today when two Lear jets collided over the ocean 27 miles southeast of San Clemente Island, authorities said.
The two jets, leased by the U.S. Navy, collided shortly before 11 a.m. at about 2,000 feet and crashed into the Pacific, Federal Aviation Administration duty officer Larry Berg said.
The two occupants in each plane died in the crash, Berg said.
