Sixteen Shirley Temple films produced in black-and-white during the 1930s will be “computer colored” and licensed to pay television, according to the studio that made them, 20th Century Fox.

The movies include “Heidi,” “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm,” “The Little Colonel,” “Poor Little Rich Girl,” “Curly Top,” and “Little Miss Broadway.”

The 16 colorized films, plus two others with Temple that were made in color--”The Blue Bird,” and “The Little Princess”--initially have been licensed to the Disney cable channel, a pay TV service. Disney said that it will begin showing them in September.
