University of San Diego Crew Beats USC in Five of Six Races at Dual Meet

The University of San Diego crew won five of six races in its dual meet against USC Sunday at San Pedro.
The Torero men’s varsity eight completed the one-mile course in 6:40, 11 seconds ahead of the Trojans. USD also won the men’s junior varsity and freshman races.
In the women’s competition, the USD varsity eight won by 35 seconds with a time of 8:10. The women’s junior varsity beat USC by a second. The Trojans’ only victory was in the women’s novice race.
