X-Rated Theater in Santa Ana
I beg to differ with The Times’ editorial (March 2) in support of the Mitchell Bros. X-rated movie theater in Santa Ana.
As a resident, I applaud Santa Ana’s efforts to rid itself of this disgrace to our city, where it is situated directly across from Rancho Santiago College and a church and adjacent to a family shopping area. Its movies appeal to males exclusively through the degradation and exploitation of women.
The Times states: “The films are not thrust on an unsuspecting public or on minors.” Totally false! I happen to know that free passes are often foisted on young men working in the shopping center.
The Mitchell Bros. actively seek to pollute young minds. The people of Santa Ana demand that they and their moral garbage be driven out of our city at all costs.
