Jose Gregorio Padrino, a 20-year-old Venezuelan boxer, died Sunday from head injuries received Friday night when he made his professional boxing debut in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
Padrino, who had a 31-9 record as an amateur, collapsed 10 minutes after leaving the ring and never regained consciousness after losing a four-round flyweight fight against Aquiles Guzman on points.
