NEWARK, N.J. — The 23-year-old daughter of the late actor Peter Sellers pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a federal charge that she participated in an international cocaine ring allegedly led by her house mate and talent agent.
Victoria Sellers, an actress and model, entered her plea before U.S. District Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise through her attorney.
Sellers, who is free on bail pending the outcome of the trial, did not speak during her arraignment in a packed courtroom.
The trial is scheduled for May 13.
Sellers was indicted with five other California residents two weeks ago on a charge that she conspired to possess and distribute cocaine. Her Hollywood house mate and agent, Reed Wallace, also pleaded not guilty Wednesday. Wallace is charged with engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise.
