HERITAGE GETS FCC STATION OK
Heritage Communications has been given permission by the Federal Communications Commission to start a radio station at 840 on the AM dial in Yountville, Calif.
In granting the Heritage application on Wednesday, the FCC dismissed an application from Alegria I, Inc. which wanted to build a station on the same frequency to serve Marina, Calif.
The commission said Heritage got the nod because Yountville has no local service. Marina is served by an FM station.
The decision becomes effective in 50 days unless someone challenges it within 30 days.
