Ex-Long Beach Prep Leaves Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Guard Van Anderson, a part-time starter for the Oregon State basketball team last season, will leave the school to to be nearer his home “due to personal family reasons,” the university announced Wednesday.
The 6-4 Anderson was a highly recruited player at St. Anthony High School in Long Beach two years ago.
