Nudity Law Changed: The City Council has unanimously approved a revised ordinance that prohibits the exposure of female breasts and other private parts in establishments serving liquor. The old ordinance, which made it a misdemeanor to expose oneself in public places or businesses selling food and drinks, was considered too vague. The new law will take effect May 1. City Atty. Richard Jones suggested a revision after a court battle with Casbah A Go Go, a local bar that featured topless women dancers. The bar sued the city last year after the city revoked the bar’s entertainment license. In January, a Superior Court judge reinstated Casbah’s license on the condition that the bar not offer live entertainment.
