Lindsay Wagner and Barbara Barrie are guest stars on “Kate & Allie” Monday night. The episode is serving as the pilot for a possible spinoff series. Wagner plays a cooking-school teacher and Barrie portrays her mother.

Jim Dale, who starred in the Broadway musical “Barnum,” will host CBS’ annual special saluting the “Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.” It will air April 16 and will present performers from China, Spain, Holland, France, Sweden, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and the United States.

People: Dorothy Lamour, who starred with Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in the “Road” films, is on the street in Saturday’s installment of “Crazy Like a Fox” on CBS. She plays a homeless woman who is murdered. . . . Lee Iacocca, the chairman of Chrysler Corp., has filmed a bit part in an episode of “Miami Vice” that NBC says will be broadcast next month. He plays a parks commissioner who helps the show’s policemen.

“A Winner Never Quits,” a film about a one-armed baseball player, is set to air on ABC April 14. It stars Keith Carradine as Pete Gray, who lost his right arm when he was 6 but still realized his dream of playing in the major leagues. Also featured in the film are Dennis Weaver, Mare Winningham, Fionnula Flanagan and Huckleberry Fox.
