Other college softball scores: Moorpark 4, Allan Hancock 0--Karen Mead of Moorpark went 2 for 3 with a double, triple and one RBI. The pitcher also went the distance on the mound, allowing two hits and striking out 11, while walking one. . . . Cal Lutheran 8, The Master’s 1; Cal Lutheran 4, The Master’s 3--Kim Peppi and teammate Becky Wolfe led Cal Lutheran to the doubleheader sweep.

High school softball scores: Canoga Park 12, Van Nuys 0--De Dow struck out 14 and pitched her third no-hitter of the season. . . . El Camino Real 1, Sylmar 0--Lisa Mahl drove in the winning run with a one-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning. . . . Burbank 3, San Gabriel 0--Debby Day pitched a perfect game, striking out 13, for Burbank. . . . Newbury Park 2, Royal 0--Newbury Park scored both runs in the second inning. . . . L.A. Baptist 10, Webb 7--Erin Marasca and Susie Duane each had a home run for L.A. Baptist. . . . Bel-Air Prep 16, Oakwood 7--Rachelle Wilner went 2 for 2 for Bel-Air. . . . Burroughs 2, Hart 1--Barbara Hofer singled home Kristi Davis in the top of the 14th inning for the win. . . . La Reina 9, Moorpark 5--Christa Grenat led off the seventh with a home run and La Reina scored three more runs in the inning. . . . Crossroads 18, Campbell Hall 8--Crossroads had only five hits but received 19 walks and won the Delphic League game at Campball Hall. Pilgrim 23, Highland Hall 14--Sherry Turner had three RBIs to lead Pilgrim.

High School Baseball

Sophomore Joel Wolfe’s home run in the bottom of the sixth inning aroused Chatsworth on Tuesday afternoon, as the Chancellors rallied to beat El Camino Real, 9-4, in a West Valley League game at Chatsworth.

Chatsworth started quickly against El Camino Real pitcher Carl McFadden, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning. But the Chancellors managed only two hits until the sixth, allowing El Camino Real to forge a 4-3 lead on Rob Bumgarner’s fifth-inning home run.

But, just as Wolfe’s blast ducked around the left field foul pole, an alarm seemed to sound somewhere around the Chancellors’ bat rack.

Before the inning was through, six more hits fell in, including four in a row after Wolfe’s home run.
