U.S. District Judge Alicemarie Stotler turned down a request for a preliminary injunction against Great Western Financial’s offer. The court order had been sought by Citadel Holding, parent company of Fidelity Federal Savings. The judge’s decision means that Great Western Financial may proceed with its tender offer to buy Citadel by exchanging 1.2 shares of its stock for each share of Citadel. The offer expires April 25.
