Santa Monica : Director of Museum Named

Betty Ann Brown has been named director of the Santa Monica Heritage Museum.
Brown was an administrator at USC, where she founded the Visual Arts Program of Continuing Education and developed a course on the history and culture of Los Angeles. She received her doctorate in 1977 and has published works on the history and culture of Latin America and the contemporary arts of Los Angeles.
The Santa Monica Heritage Museum is a multidisciplinary community museum in an 1894 Santa Monica home. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
