Former Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodger pitcher Johnny Podres, who suffered a heart attack Thursday night, was described in stable condition in the coronary care unit at a hospital in Glen Falls, N.Y.
Podres, 55, was taken to the hospital emergency room Thursday night after suffering a heart attack at his Glens Falls home, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Podres is a pitching instructor in the Dodger organization.
