The San Diego State baseball team swept a tripleheader from Utah Tuesday in Western Athletic Conference games in Salt Lake City.

The Aztecs won the seven-inning first game, 6-4, the nine-inning second game, 14-7, and the seven-inning third game, 11-0. Because of a four-hour snow delay on Monday, the Aztecs and Utes could play only one game of a scheduled doubleheader.

Mike Erb (7-3), a sophomore from Madison High School, struck out 10 and allowed five hits in seven innings in the first game. Deron Johnson was 2 for 4 with three RBIs, including a two-run homer in the fifth, his sixth of the year. Dan Lopes added two singles for the Aztecs.
