Monterey Park : Consulting Team Hired
The Monterey Park Community Redevelopment Agency has hired a consulting team to formulate plans to strengthen the South Atlantic Boulevard commercial area. The consultants, Natelson, Levander, Whitney, McClelland, Cruz & Gaylord, will receive up to $56,000 for interviewing property owners and tenants, researching business demand, analyzing traffic patterns and formulating plans to improve the area.
The study will include an analysis of the potential commercial development of a strip of land on the East Los Angeles College campus. City Manager Lloyd de Llamas said the college’s general plan designates the property for parking, but the city wants to determine if the city and college could benefit financially by developing parking elsewhere and making this property available for commercial use.
