Guerrero Injury Has Hurt the Dodgers as Much as It Has Him
I cannot understand how some of your readers can write letters wishing Pedro Guerrero not to come back from his injury and writing that he got what he deserved because he reported to spring training out of shape.
The truth of the matter is that Guerrero reported to camp on time and weighed in around 200 pounds. His slide into third base was only a costly accident. Saying he got what he deserved is about as intelligent as saying that a person who forgets to wear a safety belt deserves to get injured in an auto accident.
It’s about time that Guerrero gets appreciation for his greatness. He is one of the best players to wear a Dodger uniform in decades. I hope Guerrero recovers rapidly because the Dodgers need his awesome bat.
