USC Student Wins Pereira Design Prize

Lalida Pinsuvana, USC student who last year won an honorable mention in the same competition, has captured the $1,500 first prize in the Los Angeles chapter, American Institute of Architects’ Student Design Competition for the Pereira Prize.
The competition is sponsored by the chapter. Each year, the Los Angeles architecture firm of William L. Pereira Associates, founded by the late architect, donates $2,500 for the prizes.
The $1,000 second prize was won by Jacqueline Karsevar of Cal Poly Pomona. Honorable mention prizes of $100 were won by Amy Alper/George Yu, UCLA; Victor Garcia, Cal Poly Pomona; Antonio Pares, SCI-ARC; Neil Peoples, Cal Poly Pomona, and Rodney Wong, USC.
