Neil Sedaka is putting together a benefit album dedicated to Howard Greenfield, his longtime songwriting partner who died recently of AIDS (they wrote such hits as “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do” and “Happy Birthday Sweet 16”). Called “Me and My Friend,” the record will feature Sedaka performances of his favorite Greenfield lyrics with all profits going to AIDS research. . . . If you’re a blues fan, there’s a new hot line to call for the latest information on upcoming blues shows, festivals and radio programs. Just phone: (213) 469-9597. . . . Heavy-metaler Y&T; have left A&M; for Geffen Records. . . . Ex-Bow Wow Wow vocalist Annabella L’Win comes back this summer with a solo album on RCA called “Fever.” . . .
