Tenant Calls Police to a Pot Luck Party
The owner of a Fairfax district duplex was arrested Sunday after a Los Angeles police special weapons team fired tear gas into her apartment.
Officers were called to the building in the 500 block of N. Spaulding Avenue when a man who rents the other side of the duplex complained that owner Rubye Munsell, 37, had thrown a flower pot at him. When officers arrived, they said Munsell fired a shotgun into the air and refused to come out of her apartment.
Munsell was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
