Burbank Police on Wednesday confiscated several gallons of the drug PCP, valued at about $100,000, and arrested a man and his girlfriend on suspicion of manufacturing the drug.

Marvin Martin, 43, and Patricia Barrington, 37, both of Burbank, were arrested on suspicion of making phencyclidine, known as PCP, after a patrol officer detected a strong odor coming from their house in the 100 block of North Naomi Street, Detective Patrick Lynch said.

Police obtained a search warrant about 5 a.m. Wednesday and entered the garage of the home, where they found 2 1/2 gallons of “street ready” PCP, along with equipment and several containers of chemicals used in manufacturing the drug, Lynch said.

Martin and Barrington were not there when officers raided the home. Later in the day, both were arrested at their places of employment--Martin at a loan agency for veterans in Van Nuys and Barrington at an airplane parts manufacturer in Burbank, Lynch said.

Both suspects were being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
