Anaheim Man Killed as Pickup Overturns
A 32-year-old Anaheim man was killed Saturday when the pickup truck he was driving ran off Trabuco Creek Road and overturned north of San Juan Capistrano.
Charlie Chapman died after being thrown from the Toyota truck. A passenger, Terry Chapman, 23, of Buena Park, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Saddleback Hospital in Laguna Hills, where he was treated and released.
California Highway Patrol dispatcher Bob Knowles said the car was traveling south at less than 40 miles per hour when it left the county road near Holy James Canyon and overturned several times. No other vehicles were involved.
