First there was “Muppet Babies” on CBS; now ABC has ordered “The Flintstone Kids” for its Saturday morning fall schedule. The animated series will feature Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty as 10-year-olds. And Dino the dinosaur will be on hand as a “pup,” the network says.

“T.J. Hooker,” which has been running in a late-night slot on CBS this season, returns to prime time May 21 with a two-hour installment called “Blood Sport.” In it, the police officers portrayed by William Shatner, Heather Locklear and James Darren travel to Hawaii to protect a U.S. senator (played by Don Murray).

CBS’ telecast of Broadway’s annual Tony Awards on June 1 will pay tribute to the 40th anniversary of the awards. Included will be a salute to the musicals that have won Tonys during that period. Among the performers scheduled to appear are Lily Tomlin, Debbie Allen, Glenn Close, Gregory Hines, Nell Carter and Hal Linden.

Bob Barker of “The Price Is Right” and Mary Frann of “Newhart” will host the 1986 “Miss U.S.A. Pageant,” which CBS plans to broadcast May 20. Eddie Rabbitt and Tommy Tune will perform during the program, which will originate at the Miami Convention Center.

The folks who bring you “Circus of the Stars” are trying something new this month. They’ve concocted “The Wildest West Show of the Stars,” featuring TV, movie and music celebrities doing stunts from old-fashioned West West shows. James Coburn and Dennis Weaver will host the two-hour show on CBS May 27, which also will spotlight Alan Thicke, Pee-wee Herman, Bo Derek, Rhonda Fleming, Glen Campbell, Tammy Wynette and Dirk Benedict, among others.

NBC has decided to rebroadcast the March 4 edition of its daytime children’s series “Main Street” in prime time. The program devoted itself to the subject of sex, presenting reports on teen-age parents, a look at how the mass media influence young people about sexuality and a discussion about sexual attitudes and pressures with therapist Ruth Westheimer. It will be rerun June 9 at 8 p.m.
