NEIL DIAMOND TO RETURN TO GREEK

Neil Diamond, whose 1972 and 1976 appearances at the Greek Theatre were among the most celebrated local pop engagements of recent years, will return to the Greek Theatre on Aug. 14 for seven consecutive nights.

Diamond’s “Hot August Night” album was recorded at the Greek during a 10-day stand in 1972, while a second live album (“Love at the Greek”) resulted from the eight-night stand in 1976.

Diamond’s only local appearances since the Greek shows were seven concerts in 1983 at the Forum.
