‘Arrogance of Power’

Share

Some of us are at a loss to explain the hostility of The Times toward the Immigration and Naturalization Service and its Western regional commissioner.

Certainly an important function of the commissioner is to try to limit the influx of illegal aliens. The fact that he takes his job seriously and achieves a high profile from time to time seems to infuriate The Times.

Resentment is voiced about his so-called “booster” group. Please be assured that they represent only a small segment of the many citizens who applaud his zeal.

Those of us who share Ezell’s views resent the constant carping by the liberal press, which only tends to hinder the already difficult task of apprehending and promptly dealing with those who are willfully evading the immigration laws of this country.
