Huntington Beach : Priest Charged With 2 More Abuse Counts
Father Andrew Christian Andersen was charged with two counts of molesting a former altar boy Friday, bringing to 26 the number of felony counts the 34-year-old Roman Catholic priest faces, his lawyer said.
Andersen’s attorney, William M. Monroe, said his client will plead not guilty to the additional charges.
Andersen has been suspended from duties at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Huntington Beach by the Catholic Diocese of Orange, pending the outcome of the charges.
Authorities allege that Andersen molested four altar boys last year.
